As the creators of Poser, one cannot overlook e frontier. In addition to the rather tasty 3D figure tool they also have a range of powerful modelling and other artistic applications.
E-on software is home to the Vue product range, which does for landscapes what Poser does for people, and much more. A vital tool for amateurs and professionals alike.
If you use Poser, you need DAZ3D. Their Millennium figures, and particularly Victoria 3 and Aiko 3, are the most-used and best-supported Poser characters out there. Their impressive store is also packed full of clothing and props, and includes free weekly downloads and the Platinum Club range of $1.99 items. And they make the free Poser-like DAZ|Studio.
Renderosity is probably the largest 3D resource you'll ever find. Thousands of Poser items, countless freebies and tutorials, and the ability to set up your own store (hint, hint) make the RMP a vital bookmark. Happiness is a Renderosity account and a second mortgage.
That's how important DAZ3D is. They get two entries in this list.
